Davenport Aviation has partnered with Safran Helicopter Engines to add the Arriel 2D engine, Arriel 2B1 engine, and associated training to the United States General Services Administration (GSA) schedule.

“This relationship will be especially impactful for our customers, and we are looking forward to expanding our offerings of essential aviation components through the addition of Safran Helicopter Engines and training to our GSA schedule,” said Rob McMillin, vice president of aircraft and aircraft systems at Davenport Aviation.

The Arriel 2D engine powers the Airbus H125 and H130 helicopters. In service since 2011, more than 1,000 Arriel 2D–equipped aircraft are in service worldwide, collectively logging more than 1 million flight hours. The Arriel 2B1 engine powers the AS350 B3 and EC130 aircraft. The Arriel family have become the standard in their class, providing power and performance to helicopter operators around the world, supporting missions in government agencies, law enforcement, fire and EMS, aerial work, and offshore operations.

This partnership between Davenport Aviation and Safran Helicopter Engines will make the Arriel 2D and 2B1 engines more accessible to a variety of government agencies at the federal, state, and local levels.
