Ace Aeronautics provides avionics and airframe solutions to commercial and government aviation professionals worldwide. The Guntersville, Alabama–based company produces commercial and military off-the-shelf state-of-the-art systems for fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, all of which Ace designs, develops, tests, and produces in-house.
Ace was established specifically to develop cockpit upgrades for transport-category aircraft. The company’s overarching objective is to minimize technological upgrade and obsolescence challenges facing operators around the world through forward-thinking and intelligent architectural design. The company’s resulting solutions are intended to meet future communications, navigation, and surveillance/air traffic management requirements, and provide enhanced capabilities to achieve mission objectives in today’s complex operating environment.
Integrated Flight Decks
Key in Ace’s portfolio is the Ace Deck VL-60, the only integrated G5000H flight deck of its kind for the UH-60/S-70 family of helicopters. Ace partnered with Garmin to bring the G5000H to market for the UH-60/S-70. The solution features Garmin’s intuitive touchscreen flight management system (FMS) and vehicle management system. The G5000H utilizes new products and software that simplify its use while increasing safety and situational awareness for both business- and transport-category aircraft.
Ace owns the FAA restricted-category type certificate for UH-60A helicopters and has the ability to purchase the aircraft from the military. It also holds the supplemental type certificate (STC) to install the G5000H integrated flight deck in UH-60 A/L/V or S-70 aircraft.
Additionally, Ace operates an FAA Part 145 repair station; an aircraft component manufacturing facility with more than 45 years of manufacturing experience with US government and foreign customers; and an engineering services company specializing in airworthiness qualification support to the US Army and OEMs.
Custom Services
In addition to its own internally developed solutions, Ace can support all aspects of custom projects for customers, from preparing statements of work and system requirements documentation to producing system designs to fabricating, testing, and training.
The company markets its commercially developed and qualified business model as a best-value, quickest-to-market, lowest-risk approach to upgrading existing fleets or placing new aircraft into operation.
