Full-service helicopter operator provides transportation as well as FBO and MRO services.

With offices in Mexico City, Carmen City, and Monterrey City, Mexico, Aeroservicios Especializados (ASESA) is a full-service helicopter operator providing helicopter transportation, aircraft maintenance, logistics, administration, and FBO services. Founded in 1977, ASESA serves all areas of Mexico, from deep waters to the most remote land locations, with a fleet of Bell 407, 412, and 429 and Leonardo AW139 helicopters.

Air and Maintenance Services
For more than 40 years, ASESA has provided air transportation services across Mexico, both onshore and offshore. The company’s focus on safety is reflected in its commitment to analyzing its mission data using flight data monitoring (FDM) and health and usage monitoring systems (HUMSs).

The company’s wide range of helicopter operations include offshore and deepwater aircraft and logistics services mainly supporting the oil-and-gas and energy sectors; personnel transportation; executive flights; internal and external cargo flights; search-and-rescue and air ambulance operations; and aerial photography and filming. For each of these operations, the company provides specialized, trained crews that offer a one-stop, rapid-response option to meet a variety of needs.

ASESA strives to meet stringent safety, operation, and insurance requirements for its customers, working under the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) standard and as part of HeliOffshore, the global safety association specializing in the offshore helicopter industry. Through its membership in these organizations, ASESA collaborates with global operators to apply ongoing programs to improve safety and security.

ASESA also operates an ISO 9000 maintenance facility offering maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services and a mobile repair team for Bell, Leonardo, Pratt & Whitney, and Rolls-Royce equipment. In doing so, the company operates under the guidelines of both the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) of Mexico and the FAA of the United States.

FBO Services
ASESA’s helicopter FBOs, which operate from Carmen City and Monterrey City, offer multiple helipads, fuel, and pilot and passenger support. Passenger assistance includes customs and immigration, food and drink, transfers to outside airports, a comfortable passenger lounge, and a concierge. Helicopter support includes overnight services, transit care, fuel, maintenance, logistics, and technical staff. For helicopter crews, the FBOs provide documentation management, offices, dispatch, a weather computer station, and a crew lounge.

ASESA is a member of the Grupo Lomex family of companies of San Pedro Garza García, Mexico, which operates several helicopter and fixed-wing aviation businesses, including Peru-based HAI member Heliamerica.
