Homestead Helicopters works to serve customers in the spirit of the pioneers of this rugged territory, through resourceful hard work. Operating a fleet of Bell 206L LongRanger and Bell 407 helicopters, the Missoula, Montana–based company provides a wide range of services to some of the most remote areas in the American West.

Patrolling and Surveying
Homestead boasts considerable experience in supporting natural resource preservation and development, providing support for LiDAR-based surveys, power-line and pipeline patrolling, mapping, and agricultural seeding, spraying, and drying.

Photo and Film Services
The breathtaking scenery throughout Montana attracts television, movie, and documentary producers who want to capture the untouched feel of the West. Homestead has built an impressive resume providing a smooth arial platform for moving and still photography. The company operates a professional high-density (HD) camera setup featuring the Tyler Camera Systems mount, which is designed to allow the photographer complete control of the perfect shot, whether for a movie, a real estate listing, or anything in between.

External-Load Operations
Homestead’s bread and butter is its external-load operations. Over many years operating in a fairly rural area, Homestead has lifted almost anything imaginable, from HVAC units to snowmobiles. Its external-load work has supported construction projects, supply transport and delivery for backcountry outfitters, mining, and forestry operations.

During fire season, you’ll fine Homestead helping defend the wilderness with longline water drops and supply runs. For more than 20 years, the company has helped battle fires from the Southern US to the Northern Rockies.

When working from sites far from home, Homestead supports missions 24/7 with complete field support, including on-site fueling, ground support, and a mobile maintenance shop.

When not out doing the heavy lifting, Homestead helps share the rugged beauty of its backyard. The company offers visitors a variety of helicopter tour flights of the Missoula area, the Rattlesnake National Recreation Area & Wilderness, Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, the Rocky Mountains, and sights in between.
