Helicopter rotor blade repair station offers fabrication, maintenance, and inspection services.
International Aviation Composites (IAC) is an FAA-, EASA-, and AS9110-certified repair station for helicopter rotor blades, providing blade maintenance services from its 53,000-sq.-ft. facility in Fort Worth, Texas.
For more than 30 years, independently owned and operated IAC has focused on repairing a variety of rotor blades with industry-leading warrantied work, competitive prices, and aggressive turnaround times. The company’s offerings include fabrication, repair, inspection, and field service.
Repair and Fabrication
IAC’s engineers and technicians have pioneered more than 1,500 innovative repairs that have saved blades previously rejected as irreparable. Additionally, the company has performed FAA-approved, full-chord skin repairs for several main-rotor blades as well as many other FAA- and EASA-approved expanded repairs unavailable elsewhere.
In addition to in-house fabrication of repair parts, IAC has developed processes for removing and rebonding parts, which can reduce replacement costs and increase availability.
With a focus on quality and customer service, IAC provides blade repairs that meet or exceed manufacturer standards and FAA requirements. It markets itself as being big enough to handle all rotor blade repair needs but small enough to build and maintain personal relationships with its customers. When customers call, they talk to a staff member, not an automated phone system, even after hours.
To reduce replacement-part costs and turnaround times, IAC maintains a large inventory of parts and the capability to fabricate repair parts and assemblies not readily available from OEMs or other suppliers. What’s more, understanding the cost of blade replacement, IAC doesn’t charge customers an inspection fee apart from outside vendor–incurred costs if their blade is deemed irreparable during initial inspection.
Military and Commercial Service
IAC serves both military and commercial customers, with experience encompassing UH-1H, UH-60M, and UH-60A/L repairs as well as technical-documentation projects for UH-60M and UH-60A/L main-rotor blades.
While IAC is an approved repair center for Leonardo and MD Helicopters blades, it is certified to repair blades from a large variety of aircraft and manufacturers. A full list of its certifications for blade repair can be found on IAC’s website.
