Technology company provides real-time video data to government, law enforcement, news-gathering operations.

Vislink specializes in collecting, delivering, and managing high-quality video and data for the military, government, and live-production sectors. The Mount Olive, New Jersey–based company’s real-time video intelligence solutions incorporate a variety of tailored transmission products designed to provide reliable connectivity in the toughest environments across the globe.

Designed for Challenging Environments
Vislink’s “ruggedized” video transmission products are designed to withstand severe physical shocks and vibrations and perform in extreme environments, from the Arctic to desert areas. The company’s products and services include wireless cameras, satellite communications, airborne systems, microwave point-to-point connectivity, central receivers, and portable systems.

Vislink takes a hands-on, tailored approach to its work, designing easy-to-use, low-maintenance, reliable solutions specific to each customer’s needs. Each solution considers reception reliability, deploying RF (radio frequency) technology where cabled connectivity isn’t viable and employing efficient use of available bandwidth across several networks.

Uniquely Suited to Aircraft Ops
At HAI HELI-EXPO 2022, Vislink debuted the AeroLink transceiver, the newest component of the company’s Airborne Video Downlink System (AVDS), a comprehensive aerial-based video transmission offering that delivers real-time surveillance for law enforcement, emergency, and critical infrastructure operations. AeroLink, a lightweight, full-featured, digital dual encoding video downlink technology, is built to address the unique requirements of aircraft operations. Its COFDM system integrates mesh, bonded cellular, and 5G networks for maximum connectivity and flexibility.

Vislink’s AVDS comprises an integrated suite of downlink transmitters, receivers, and antennas that capture real-time, seamless, high-definition video from helicopters, drones, and other aircraft for display at command centers and mobile units and on video management systems.

The AVDS improves situational awareness by giving those on the ground a clear, reliable picture of what’s being captured from airborne units. Its design allows collected video to be simultaneously disseminated, viewed, and managed across wide areas to all deployed assets. This capability includes distribution over secure IP networks and streaming over cellular and Wi-Fi networks for remote viewing on smartphones and tablets.

Professional and Technical Services
In addition to its product offerings, Vislink provides professional and technical services using a staff of technology experts with decades of applied knowledge and real-world experience in the areas of terrestrial microwave, satellite, fiber-optic, surveillance, and wireless communications systems to deliver a broad spectrum of customer solutions.

Vislink’s business expands beyond airborne platforms, as well. The company offers live-production services and products that support live sporting events, news-gathering, and live streaming.

The company operates offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, Dubai, Singapore, and the Netherlands.
