NGFT Solutions recently partnered with HAI to make the company’s flight risk assessment tool (FRAT) available to HAI members free of charge.

Based in Cham, Switzerland, NGFT Solutions is a management services provider for small and mid-sized operators offering training, consultation, and support in regulatory compliance, safety, and operations. Primarily a training organization, NGFT trains aviation management teams, pilots, and staff in a variety of subjects to prepare them for efficient, safe operations as well as changing requirements. Courses are taught in English, German, French, and Italian.

Special Offer for HAI Members: FRAT
NGFT recently partnered with HAI to make the company’s flight risk assessment tool (FRAT) available to HAI members free of charge. The tool’s simple question-and-answer format helps pilots objectively and truthfully evaluate the potential risks of an upcoming flight and any aerial worksites. Once a risk is identified, the mitigation prompt helps users work through possible strategies to mitigate the risk and increase the safety of the flight.

The FRAT tool comes in two modes. The first is an Internet-based “free mode” with basic features and no login required. The second is a more comprehensive tool that gives users administration control to create organization-specific FRATs. Normally a paid service, the comprehensive tool remains free to HAI members. HAI members can request the full customizable version of the FRAT free of charge here.

Other Safety Services
In addition to the FRAT, NGFT offers a variety of other safety services. The company assists operators in setting up, using, and expanding safety management systems (SMSs). With that service, it helps operators develop a hazard list, evaluate associated risks, and identify risk-reduction measures to increase safety. Training is also offered to ensure that safety personnel have the skills and tools they need to monitor, detect, and mitigate any new hazards that represent risk to the operation.

To assist operators with compliance, NGFT provides support in building operations manuals and offers audits to identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.

NGFT’s training department offers EASA-compliant courses in ATO (approved training organizations), management, commercial air transport operations, and crew licensing as well as pilot type ratings.

NGFT’s additional tools and apps support crew overview/tracking, DocGen, audits, electronic flight bags, psychological testing, and e-learning. The e-learning tool allows students to attend courses remotely through a secure system on their own time, saving operators considerable cost in travel, hotel, and downtime.
