HAI WAS THERE on Feb. 24, 2014, at HELI-EXPO® in Anaheim, California, to launch the Land & LIVE program to foster safety. The brainchild of former HAI President Matthew Zuccaro, the Land & LIVE was designed to remind pilots that helicopters can land anywhere and at any time to address weather or in-flight emergencies.
In the years since its launch, Land & LIVE has influenced the vertical aviation industry to apply the practice of landing when and where needed to protect crew, passengers, bystanders, and equipment.
This year, we celebrate the 75th anniversary of HAI, formed on Dec. 13, 1948.
