Safety, training, and education are central to the mission of HAI, which was formed 75 years ago, on Dec. 13, 1948.
In 1983, HAI WAS THERE to establish Helicopter Foundation International (HFI) to promote helicopter safety and education. This development led to the creation of the Rotor Safety Challenge (RSC) program, held for the first time at HAI HELI-EXPO 2013, with 39 presentations and 2,900 participants.
