On Nov. 3, 2015, HAI WAS THERE to establish the first uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) working group for the vertical aviation industry. Consisting of 10 members and 3 advisors from a broad spectrum of the industry, the group recognized HAI’s support of members wishing to integrate UASs into their flight operations portfolios.
The HAI UAS Working Group remains active in all aspects of UAS industry initiatives, including informing HAI leadership about the latest developments in UAS integration, rulemaking, and certification. The UAS Working Group is 1 of 14 working groups HAI has formed to help address the problems and issues affecting its members.
This year, we celebrate the 75th anniversary of HAI, formed on Dec. 13, 1948.
